Trip to London, 8B

Our class, 8B, went on a sightseeing trip to London from 30th of January to 2nd of February with our English teacher Ms Kampichler and the accompanying teacher Ms Führer.

The trip was an unforgettable experience, but of course, a bit too short to explore all the wonderful historical and cultural sights in London. Yet, we all enjoyed this school trip very much.

We stayed at the Westbury Hotel in the Kensington area. The rooms were a bit cramped, but acceptable for 3 nights.

On the day we arrived, we went to see “the Garden at 120”. From up there, we had a stunning view of London’s skyline, and the sunset was right at that time. Afterwards, we all went to a pub to eat dinner together.

The next day we visited the London Eye and went on a hop-on/hop-off sightseeing tour, where we took a bus through the city centre. Afterwards, we went on a river cruise on the Thames. After that, we walked to Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly Circus and then back to the hotel by underground.

On the penultimate day of our trip, we visited the Science Museum in the morning and then Camden Market. There we could move around freely and enjoy this colourful, vibrant area with its stalls selling street food from all over the world, jewellery, handmade items, clothing and many more. In the evening we were allowed to go to a musical, which was the highlight for many students.

On the day of our departure, we visited Windsor Castle in the morning and then left for the airport.
